Site Audit Checklist The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires employers to manage health and safety in their organization. Auditing is an key element in an organisation's ability to manage  safety programs.

A safety audit is a comprehensive and objective evaluation of the design and effectiveness of your health and safety program.

The OSS consultancy team will  agree on the scope of the audit with your safety personnel and schedule the workplace health and safety audit at your worksite.

The  key steps to the health and safety audit include:

  • An appraisal of the organisation’s safety management system/ standards
  • Observations from a Walk-though inspection
  • Interviews with key personnel
  • A review of relevant documentation

The audit findings will be presented in an audit report with recommend actions prioritised to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, guidance and best practice.

The purpose of carrying out a safety audit is to establish whether your company is in compliance with safety legislation and best practice and identify any potential weaknesses in their safety programs and processes in this regard.
